Leadership

Elder Duwan Cotton is founder and senior pastor of The Sanctuary in Houston, Texas. He is a preacher, teacher, leader, and father who has been serving in the ministry since 1984. Pastor Cotton served as Assistant Pastor of Full Gospel Church for over 20 years.  He incorporates a global vision for his ministry that is based on the Great Commission found in Matthew 28:19-20, which states "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen."

Pastor Cotton is a graduate of University of Missouri – Rolla with a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. He received his minister’s license from the Church of God In Christ in 1986.  He has a heart for the hurting and strives to reach out to individuals who are lost, hurt, disconnected or simply needs to be revived in their faith.

When he preaches, he makes deposits in the lives of the listeners. His God-given unique style has touched the lives of many. Equipping and maturing the believer for works of service in an effort to build up the Body of Christ, Pastor Cotton incorporates the teaching and training of families in living victoriously by the Word.

Elder James Page Jr is co-pastor of The Sanctuary.  He is a gifted teacher of the word of God.  He began teaching bible study in 1986 at the Baptist Student Union on the campus of the University of Missouri - Rolla.  
Pastor Page loves to seek the face of God that he might reveal the love and grace of God to everyone he meets.

Valerie loves people and loves to pray.  She is leader and coordinator of our mission to the homeless.  She is also our Church's administration assistant.
